The study synthesizes insights from various studies, highlighting the importance of collaborative frameworks, such as the Synthetic Biology Open Language (SBOL), and the challenges posed by patent disputes and IP rights. It also discusses the potential of synthetic biology to revolutionize fields like medicine, energy, and environmental sustainability, while emphasizing the need for a robust governance structure to address ethical, legal, and societal implications. The study concludes with recommendations for policymakers and researchers to navigate the complex IP landscape, ensuring that synthetic biology can achieve its full potential in a responsible and inclusive manner.
