The journal publishes all the latest and outstanding research articles, letters, and reviews in all areas of molecular evolution and biodiversity, topics addressed including experimental and theoretical work of molecular evolution; the evolution of informational macromolecules and their relation to more complex levels of biological organization; investigations of molecular evolutionary patterns and processes, tests of evolutionary hypotheses that use molecular data, and studies; on all matters concerning the integrity and wellness of ecosystems and the diversity of species; as well as the study of species interactions and the role of species in structuring marine ecosystem functioning.
